Optinova appoints a new Plant Manager for Optinova Godby

Today we announce the recruitment of Linda Sundström as the new Plant Manager for Optinova Godby.

In February 2020, Optinova started the recruitment process for a new manager for the Godby plant. Despite facing unprecedented challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the recruitment team has moved forward at warp speed to find a suitable candidate for the position. The new appointee will be leading the plant to expand its manufacturing capacity and enhance its capabilities, which consequently allows Optinova to serve our customers better and uphold our high-quality standards.

The recruitment also enables Anders Wiklund, the current acting Plant Manager of Optinova Godby, to fully focus on his assignment as Optinova Group CEO.

Linda is a native Ålander who has spent many years living and working abroad. While attending the University of Skövde, Linda majored in Industrial Leadership and Organization, and later obtained her degree in Automation Engineering. With a long professional history at the Swedish flagship Scania, Linda returned to Åland in 2016 to work for Bank of Åland as Head of Department Business Support.

Currently living with her family in Lemland, a municipality in the southern part of Åland, Linda will join us from 23. November 2020.
