Meet our 2021 Optinova Innovation Center summer interns

Dear prospective summer interns,

An internship at Optinova Innovation Center (OIC) is a gateway into the world of extrusion technology. It is an ideal opportunity for you, as a graduating student, to apply and practice your theoretical knowledge on real-life cases in the field of polymer, automation, and electrical engineering. Being a summer intern at OIC, you will have the chance to build and improve our global operations, establish relationships with our most important customers and, most exciting of all, gain hands-on experience from various co-creation projects with our stakeholders.

Now, let us present our 2021 OIC and Optinova Godby summer interns: Sonja, Lucas and Lilian. Sonja is a chemistry and process engineering major at Aalto University in Helsinki. During her time at OIC, Sonja was working on a study project where she explored and expanded her knowledge about polymer extrusion. Lucas is an electrical and automation engineering student from Åland University of Applied Sciences. During his stay at OIC, Lucas was assigned to our innovation team where he helped build and improve the extrusion equipment for our production units. Lilian is a recently graduated automation engineer from Nova University of Applied Sciences. At OIC, Lilian was a part of our automation teams in Godby whose objective is to better and accelerate our automation and digitalisation process.
